Your Daughter and Antisocial Personality Disorder …Here’s How We See It at Columbus Girls Academy.
Does your daughter suffer from Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), which is defined (by the American Psychiatric Association) as “a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others?” Symptoms include refusal to conform, deceptiveness, impetuous actions, touchiness, indifference for her own (and others) safety, and a pattern of negligent behavior and lack of remorse.
An unceasing mental condition in which your daughter might display dysfunctional ways of thinking and relating to others, she might treat others with apathy to their feelings and rights, be calculating and insincere, possibly violating the law, and showing no feelings of regret.
These can all be signs of Antisocial Personality Disorder, and CGA can provide a safe haven for your daughter as she struggles to overcome this serious problem.
ASPD traits are difficult for parents to distinguish. There is not a commonly agreed upon treatment for this disorder but there might be success in ones that show the harmful costs of illegal and unsuitable behavior. There are studies that reveal reward systems or contingency management systems to be somewhat helpful in steering behavior to a more satisfactory norm (not to be confused with normal, parental attempts at reprimand and incentive).
This is Why We’re Here.
While an especially complicated disorder to treat, your daughter will need enduring treatment for ASPD, as well as for any related conditions, such as depression and anxiety. It is essential to have ASPD correctly diagnosed and treated, so that your daughter doesn’t suffer possible, life-altering consequences, such as unsafe and reckless behaviors, even repetitious law-breaking leading to incarceration.
You don’t want ASPD to control her life!
This is How We Deal With It at Columbus Girls Academy.
CGA is a Christian boarding school for teenage girls struggling with life-controlling problems. We present a disciplined and structured therapeutic environment that balances discipline along with personal responsibility in a positive peer culture.
For parents who have exhausted every option, we are an early intervention program, here to help your daughter before she becomes an adult ensnared in a dysfunctional lifestyle.
Located in the peace and tranquility of our 200-acre campus, we offer a curriculum intended for introspective thinking, with both individual and regular group mentoring. Our academic program is accredited by organizations who support the quality educational standards required by colleges and universities and, will be modified for your daughter, enabling her to refocus and appraise her life decisions.
