Student Life in Our School
When a new student enters our boarding school, she is specially partnered with another senior student (a “Big Sister”) tasked with the responsibility of offering support and “showing her the ropes” of the day to day. At every turn, not only does a new student have the oversight of compassionate and attentive CGA staff, she also has the support and encouragement of a friend.
CGA offers a highly structured environment where our boarding school students feel safe and cared for. Participation in all activities is required and completed as a group, supervised by staff members. Students are challenged daily in relationships as they interact with staff and their peers. Our environment is one that balances discipline with personal responsibility to create a positive peer culture. Our goal is to nurture students that make positive decisions that are not based on mandatory compliance, but rather where positive choices are made as a result of genuine concern for themselves and others.
